The Ministry of the Interior has issued a strong caution to applicants in the ongoing security services recruitment to ignore any messages demanding mobile money payments for medical screening. Authorities stress that such requests are fraudulent and not part of the official process, urging candidates to stay vigilant as scammers attempt to exploit the exercise.
According to the Ministry, no official SMS notifications have been sent yet. Legitimate messages will only be dispatched between March 29 and March 31, with the nationwide medical screening scheduled to begin on April 7 at designated centres. Applicants are advised to verify all communications, as only messages from the authorised sender ID will be considered valid.

Shortlisted candidates will see their status updated to “Medical Screening” on the recruitment portal before making any payment, which must be done strictly through the platform’s secure checkout system. The Ministry reiterated that no applicant should send money to any individual or mobile money number and encouraged the public to report suspicious messages as efforts intensify to clamp down on recruitment scams.
