President John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to deliver the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament today, Friday, February 27.
The address is expected to provide a comprehensive update on Ghana’s current state of affairs, detailing progress across key sectors and setting out the government’s priorities for the year ahead. Critical areas likely to feature prominently include the economy, health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and Ghana’s international relations.
The presentation fulfils a constitutional requirement under Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which mandates the President to address Parliament at the beginning of each session on the state of the nation.
