MTN Ghana Pays Over GH¢5 Billion in Dividends to Shareholders for 2025

Strong financial performance drives increased investor returns

Telecommunications giant MTN Ghana has paid more than GH¢5 billion in dividends to its shareholders for the 2025 financial year, reflecting a strong financial performance and sustained growth.

The payout follows an impressive year in which the company recorded significant increases in revenue and profitability, driven largely by growth in data services, mobile money, and digital offerings.

According to company disclosures, the total dividend forms part of a broader shareholder reward strategy, with earnings rising substantially compared to the previous year. Profit after tax surged to about GH¢7.8 billion, enabling the company to deliver one of the highest dividend payouts in its history.

The dividend payment represents a notable increase from previous years and underscores MTN Ghana’s commitment to delivering value to its investors while maintaining strong operational performance.

Company leadership has expressed confidence in sustaining this growth trajectory, citing continued investment in network infrastructure, expansion of digital services, and increasing subscriber numbers as key drivers of future performance.

MTN Ghana remains one of the leading contributors to Ghana’s economy, with strong market dominance in the telecommunications sector and continued expansion in fintech and digital services.
