Manchester City were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest in a result that deals a blow to their Premier League title hopes.
City opened the scoring in the first half when forward Antoine Semenyo found the net to give the hosts the advantage. However, Forest responded early in the second half through Morgan Gibbs-White, who produced a clever finish to bring the visitors level.
The home side regained the lead shortly after the hour mark when midfielder Rodri headed City back in front, raising hopes of a crucial victory. But Nottingham Forest once again fought back, with Elliot Anderson scoring to make it 2-2.
Despite dominating possession and creating several chances late in the match, City could not find a winning goal as Forest held on for a valuable point.
The draw means Manchester City lose further ground on Premier League leaders Arsenal, adding pressure on Pep Guardiola and his team as the title race intensifies.
