Interim head coach Prince Owusu has attributed Asante Kotoko SC’s goalless draw against Vision FC to his players’ inability to convert chances.
The Porcupine Warriors hosted Vision FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on matchday 24 of the Ghana Premier League, aiming to respond strongly after their previous home defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak SC.
However, Kotoko failed to secure maximum points for the second consecutive home fixture, settling for a 0-0 draw against the Accra-based side.
“Goals Are Not Coming”
Speaking after the match, Owusu expressed frustration over his team’s lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
“You see, the goals are not coming. It’s about four or five matches since Hubert Gyau scored. It’s a problem for us too,” he said.
“He just has to tap the ball, and he’s not doing it… All the blame comes to us (the coaches).”
The result leaves Kotoko two points behind Hearts of Oak, who occupy third place on the league table, with 10 matches remaining before the end of the season.
