Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 Set for Historic Las Vegas Rematch

Boxing legends reunite at the Sphere as Netflix streams blockbuster sequel live worldwide.

More than 11 years after their record-shattering first encounter, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao are set to meet again in a highly anticipated rematch.

The bout is officially scheduled for September 19 in Las Vegas and will mark the first professional boxing event staged at the city’s state-of-the-art Sphere. The fight will stream live globally on Netflix.

Ring Magazine first reported the news Monday, confirming that Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2 will be a sanctioned professional contest — meaning Mayweather’s unblemished 50-0 record will be on the line.

Before the rematch, both Hall of Famers are slated for exhibition appearances. Pacquiao, 47, is scheduled to face Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18, while Mayweather, 48, is reportedly heading toward an April 25 clash with Mike Tyson.

Their first showdown in 2015 became one of the most lucrative events in boxing history, generating a record 4.6 million U.S. pay-per-view buys and a staggering $72 million live gate. Though the spectacle was monumental, the fight itself drew mixed reactions, with Mayweather’s defensive mastery earning him a comfortable decision victory and the unification of three welterweight titles.

Now, nearly a decade after Mayweather stepped away from professional boxing, and with Pacquiao coming off a controversial draw against Mario Barrios — a result many believed could have made him the second-oldest world champion in history — the dynamics of the rematch appear far less predictable.

With age, legacy, and redemption all in play, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2 promises to reignite one of boxing’s greatest rivalries on an unprecedented stage.
