The heaviest weather sits in the northwest, where GMet expects thunderstorms with rain over Bole, Damongo, Wa and Jirapa through the morning, while the middle belt around Sunyani, Techiman and Kintampo sees steadier rain and the forest towns of Kumasi, Koforidua and Tarkwa wake under patches of mist.
Along the coast, from Accra through Cape Coast to Takoradi, the rain is lighter, falling on and off beneath mostly cloudy skies.
The pattern eases as the day wears on, with the north catching spells of sunshine in the afternoon before thunderstorms return in the evening and push south into the transition and middle belts.
Accra should sit between 24 and 29 degrees, cooler than the north, where Wa, Nalerigu and Jirapa climb towards 33.
GMet again flagged the state of the sea as rough, a standing caution for fishers and coastal communities, and urged drivers to take care on wet roads.
