Two times FA cup winner and CAF confederation cup semi finalists coach Abdul Karim Zito leaves Kumasi Asante Kotoko with immediate effect,Zito who took over the Kotoko job mid last season after the exit of then gaffer Prosper Ogum and guided the club to a third position finish of the 2024-25 season,won the FA cup for the club has just resigned from his role after a disappointing result against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday 8th February 2026 in the FA Cup round of 16 game.

Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey has resigned from his role as the head coach of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club with immediate effect.
Management has accepted the resignation, expressed its appreciation to the coach for his services and wished him the best for the future.
The new technical direction of the club will communicated in due course.
