Prof. Agyare’s four-year term will run from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2030.
In an official notice signed by Registrar Benjamin B. Owusu, Esq., the council announced it had “considered and accepted the Report of the Search Committee for Vice-Chancellor, and subsequently appointed PROFESSOR CHRISTIAN AGYARE, Professor of Pharmaceutics, as VICE-CHANCELLOR.”

The statement, issued for staff, students, the university community, and the public, underscores the council’s confidence in Prof. Agyare’s qualifications to steer KNUST forward.
