Ghana’s number one and FIFA referee, Daniel Nii Laryeh, has been appointed by the Referees Appointment Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to officiate the much-anticipated super clash between Ghana’s two football giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
Daniel Nii Laryeh, who recently officiated the semi-final match between Morocco and Nigeria at the just-ended Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, is regarded as one of the top referees on the African continent.
The 38-year-old FIFA referee will be assisted by fellow FIFA-badged officials:
- Assistant Referee 1: Paul Atimaka
- Assistant Referee 2: Seth Abletor
- Fourth Official: Gideon Nii Cofie
The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled for Sunday, 15th February 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 5:00 PM.
Gate charges have been fixed as follows:
- Popular Stand: GHS 50
- Center Line: GHS 50
- VIP: GHS 100
